Bank of England FMID is seeking a motivated Secretary to join our Leeds-based support team, delivering high-quality secretarial assistance to Senior Managers and the Executive Director's Office. The role includes diary management, arranging meetings, travel, expenses and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be well-organised, effective at prioritising multiple tasks, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
FMID sits at the heart of the Bank and is responsible for supervision, policy and risk analysis of key financial market infrastructures (e.g. payment systems, CCPs and securities depositories). The directorate works closely across the Bank, with external firms, and with international regulators in a highly collaborative environment.
We are seeking a motivated, organised and proactive Secretary to join our support team, providing high-quality secretarial support to Senior Managers and their teams, as well as the Executive Director's Office. This varied role provides an excellent opportunity to work across different areas, manage a range of priorities and contribute to the effective day-to-day running of both teams. This role is based from our Leeds office.
This is an exciting position with a varied and interesting workload with opportunities to display your own initiative. It will suit someone who is able to prioritise their workload and co‑ordinate numerous tasks, as the role comes with a wide range of responsibilities. You need to be well‑organised; a good communicator; confident at collaborating closely at all levels (internally and externally); be flexible; and able to work successfully within the team. The Senior Managers have busy diaries which require effective management, arranging internal and external meetings. Duties include: arranging domestic and international travel; processing expenses; coordinating Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes within the teams; and act as a point of contact for the teams.
The support team is self-covering so the jobholder will be required to help cover absences on the unit, including covering the Head of Division Personal Assistant role.
