Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a friendly Soft Play Team Member to help manage a lively, safe play area for children in our venue. You will welcome guests, answer queries, and assist parents with needs while delivering a warm, fun experience.

This role involves helping run children’s birthday parties, face painting, balloon modelling, and selling food and beverages. Flexibility, a good sense of humour, and teamwork are essential to create a happy atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with children and have a warm, approachable manner.
• Ability to adapt behaviour to different situations.
• Ability to manage and coordinate large groups of guests.
• Able to contribute ideas to improve standards and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Answer guest queries on products, prices and facilities/activities.
• Deal with telephone inquiries in a warm and friendly manner.
• Keep the reception area clean and ready for service.
• Create a fun, safe environment so guests are encouraged to return.
• Help run children’s birthday parties and interact with children.
• Face painting and balloon modelling.
• Sell food and drink items to guests.

Job description

You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of play for all children, while promoting a happy yet safe atmosphere, overseeing the soft play area and assisting parents with any needs. It goes without saying that you must love working with children, have a good sense of humour and be a responsible and organised person.

What You’ll Do In This Role

• Answering guest queries on products, prices & house facilities/activities
• Dealing with enquiries by telephone in a warm & friendly manner, endeavouring at all times to accommodate their requests
• Ensure a clean & tidy environment at all times & ensure that the reception area is tidy & ready for service at all times
• Help create a fun, exciting & safe environment so that every guest leaves wanting to return
• Help run children’s Birthday parties, taking control and interacting with the children
• Face painting & Balloon modelling
• Selling of various food and drink items to guests
