Job summary

Barnsley Premier Leisure is recruiting a friendly Receptionist for the Barnsley Metrodome. You will be the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service, handling enquiries, admissions, and cash payments while keeping the reception area welcoming.

Shifts include evenings, weekends and bank holidays; we offer free parking, free Your Space membership across sites, and opportunities to grow within our busy leisure centre team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or reception is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with cash handling and till systems is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Reception team at our flagship site the Barnsley Metrodome. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our reception area.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a customer service or reception role is desirable but not essential.

Wednesday 10.00 - 14.00, Sunday 07.45 - 16.30

Week 2:

Thursday 13.45 - 19.30

Week 3:

Wednesday 13.45 - 19.30, Thursday 13.45 - 19.30, Friday 10.00 - 14.00, Sunday 07.45 - 16.30

Position 2: Average 22.66 hours per week

Week 1:

Monday 07.00 - 12.15, Tuesday 15.45 - 21.15, Thursday 07.00 - 12.15, Friday 10.00 - 14.00

Week 2:

Wednesday 15.45 - 20.00, Thursday 07.00 - 12.15, Saturday 08.15 - 17.00, Sunday 09.15 - 15.15

Week 3:

Tuesday 15.45 - 21.15, Thursday 07.00 - 12.15, Friday 07.00 - 12.15, Saturday 07.45 - 16.30

Rates of pay:

Age 16 - £8.26

Age 17 - £9.21

Age 18+ - £12.71
