Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a friendly soft play team member to maintain high play standards. You’ll engage children, assist parents, and ensure a safe, happy atmosphere in the soft play area.

The role involves handling guest queries, supporting birthday parties, and contributing to a clean reception and venue. A DBS check will be required during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt behaviour to different situations.
• Able to generate ideas to increase sales or improve standards.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration within an existing team.
• Ability to manage and control large groups of guests.
• Genuine enjoyment of working with children.

Responsibilities

• Answer guest queries on products, prices and facilities/activities.
• Handle enquiries by phone in a warm, friendly manner and accommodate requests.
• Keep the reception area clean and tidy and ready for service.
• Create a fun, safe environment so guests want to return.
• Help run children’s birthday parties, interacting with kids.
• Face painting and balloon modelling.

Job description

You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of play for all children, while promoting a happy yet safe atmosphere, overseeing the soft play area and assisting parents with any needs. It goes without saying that you must love working with children, have a good sense of humour and be a responsible and organised person.

Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

What You’ll Do In This Role

• Answering guest queries on products, prices & house facilities/activities
• Dealing with enquiries by telephone in a warm & friendly manner, endeavouring at all times to accommodate their requests
• Ensure a clean & tidy environment at all times & ensure that the reception area is tidy & ready for service at all times
• Help create a fun, exciting & safe environment so that every guest leaves wanting to return
• Help run children's Birthday parties, taking control and interacting with the children
• Face painting & Balloon modelling
• Selling of various food and drink items to guests
