Job summary

Liverpool City Council in Liverpool is seeking a Team Manager (Occupational Therapy) to lead an integrated community health and social care service for adults. You will manage budgets, drive performance and provide leadership for a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring strength-based assessments and safeguarding where needed. Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration with HCPC.
• Significant experience in statutory Adult Social Care.
• Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance.
• Experience working with adults with complex care needs.

• Excellent decision-making skills.

The Occupational Therapy Service

The Occupational Therapy Service is a dynamic team delivering Strengths-Based Care Act assessments whilst also contributing to the Prevent, Reduce and Delay agenda. The service includes Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Occupational Therapists (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assessors. Staff will provide assessment and provision functions across: Adult Access Area Teams in both North and South, Major Adaptations Team.

The role

The Occupational Therapy Team manager role will play a crucial role in supporting the Service Manager to deliver the teams aims and objectives. Key responsibilities include:

About you

• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Significant experience in statutory Adult Social Care
• A strong understanding and knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and statutory guidance
• Experience of working with adults with complex care needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent decision-making skills
