Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Team Manager in the Preparing for Adulthood team, based at Cunard Building, Liverpool. You will lead a team of social workers and social care assessors, guiding early identification, assessment and support planning for young people transitioning to adult services.

We favour a strengths‑based, personalised approach and you will be supported by a service manager across the Complex Learning Disability and Autism service.

The role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join Liverpool City Council as Team Manager in the Preparing for Adulthood Team. This is a well-established and very committed team who are co located with our children with Disabilities Team based at Lime Hub. The Team consists of social workers and social care assessors who undertake early identification and assessment and support planning for young people in transition from children to adult services. The Team works to ensure that the support offered is consistent with the principles of personalisation to enable young people to live as full and independent a life as possible. There is a strengths-based approach to assessments and support planning that consolidates choice and control. You will be supported in your role as Team Manager by a dedicated service manager who also oversees the Complex Learning Disability and Autism service
