Job summary

Rutland County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager for the Community Team in Oakham to lead and inspire a social care team, ensuring high standards and strong partnership working.

You will provide professional guidance on adult social care practice, oversee complex cases, and promote independence and wellbeing within the Integrated Care System. A DBS check and Social Work England registration are required; a driving licence is essential to travel across the county.

Job description

As the Team Manager, Community Team, the main functions of the role are:

• To lead and manage a team of qualified social workers and non-qualified workers, helping them to deliver high standards across the organisation.
• To provide professional guidance and expertise in respect of adult social care practice and maintain an oversight of all complex cases.
• To support, supervise and performance manage the team and work with colleagues to deliver services for Adult Social care and ensure they promote the independence and wellbeing of people accessing support in line health and social care integration.

We are looking for a passionate and driven professional with a background in Adult Social Care to take on a pivotal leadership role, The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Costs for the DBS and Social Work England registration are covered by Rutland County Council.

Please note that you will need a full driving licence to enable you to travel across the county.
