As a Team Manager in our Children with Disabilities Team, you will lead a dedicated group of professionals in providing essential support to children and their families. The role involves working countywide in a frontline service that provides care, protection, and support to children and young people with diverse needs. You will manage qualified social workers who will be working with children and their families who are receiving support via child in need or child protection, families going through the care proceedings process and more, including children who are supported under the Mental Health Act.

In This Pivotal Role, You Will

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of experienced and newly qualified social workers.
• Provide reflective and analytical supervision ehich supports informed decision making
• Collaborate closely with disability family support services, health, and education to deliver tailored support packages.
• Demonstrate expert practice in complex situations, making informed decisions while managing higher levels of risk.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, families, and external partners.

To Thrive In This Role, You Should Possess

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in social work
• Registration with social work england
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
• A solid understanding of legislation related to children and young people, including the Children Act and the Mental Health Act.
