Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Assessment Team within the Broxtowe & Rushcliffe Family Support and Safeguarding Team. In this mid-level role you will plan and lead assessments, identify strengths and risks, and work with children, young people, and families to secure positive outcomes.

You will collaborate with partners, prepare evidence-based reports, and manage a caseload with supervision.

Qualifications

• A Professional Social Work Qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and assessment work.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Comprehensive Assessments: Gather and analyse information to evaluate the strengths and vulnerabilities of children and families.
• Coordinating Support Services: Work collaboratively with families and partners to identify and implement strategies and interventions that meet their needs.
• Writing Reports: Prepare structured, evidence-based reports, including Child and Family Assessments and documentation for Initial Child Protection Conferences.
• Managing Workload: Organise and manage your caseload independently while receiving supervision from the Team Manager.

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in theBroxtowe & Rushcliffe Family Support and Safeguarding Team.
