Job summary

Tripod Partners is seeking an experienced Team Manager for the Children in Care Team. You will oversee relationships with children in care, their families, carers and partner agencies, guiding social workers to ensure safety, wellbeing and stability.

You will supervise care planning, carry out visits and assessments, participate in reviews, and ensure the child’s views and wishes remain central in long-term placement decisions.

Qualifications

• Experienced Team Manager in Children in Care settings.
• Ability to supervise social workers and coordinate care planning.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, trauma-informed approaches and family engagement.

Job description

We need an experienced Team Manager for the Children in Care Team. The team supports children in care, working with them, their families, carers and partner agencies to promote their safety, wellbeing and stability. This includes supporting children who may have experienced trauma, loss or disrupted relationships, ensuring their care reflects their individual needs, identity and wishes. The work involves regular visits, assessments, care planning and reviews, alongside supporting stable placements, education, health and meaningful relationships with family and others important to each child. The Team Manager will provide supervision and guidance to social workers, oversee care planning and support timely decisions about children’s long-term care, ensuring their views and needs remain central.
