Job summary

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Team Manager for the Children in Care West team. You will lead a dedicated group of Social Workers and Family Support Workers to progress Care Planning, ensure high-quality services, and deliver improved welfare outcomes for children and young people.

You will oversee workload allocation, drive performance, and collaborate with partner agencies to secure best interests decisions and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered social worker with Social Work England and current practicing status.
• Proven leadership experience in a similar children and care setting.
• Ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Social Workers and Family Support Workers to progress Care Planning and deliver best outcomes.
• Oversee workload prioritisation and allocation for the team.
• Drive performance and ensure targets and outcomes are achieved.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external partner agencies.
• Model problem solving and decision-making in line with legislation and best practice.
