Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking an experienced Team Manager for the Children in Care team in the Bournemouth area on the Dorset coast. The role is a full-time, 3–6 month contract, with a pay rate of £45.92 per hour and a 37-hour week, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements.

You will supervise social workers, oversee care planning and reviews, and ensure children’s voices guide decisions about their long-term care. Ideally, you will be SWE registered and locally based in the UK.

Qualifications

• SWE registered (Social Work England)
• Driver with access to own car preferred
• Ideally locally based in Bournemouth area
• Contract length 3–6 months, 37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and guidance to social workers in the Children in Care team.
• Oversee care planning and reviews for children in care.
• Support timely decisions about long-term care while centering children's views and needs.
• Carry out regular visits and assessments aligned with safeguarding and wellbeing goals.

We need an experienced Team Manager for the Children in Care Team. The team supports children in care, working with them, their families, carers and partner agencies to promote their safety, wellbeing and stability. This includes supporting children who may have experienced trauma, loss or disrupted relationships, ensuring their care reflects their individual needs, identity and wishes. The work involves regular visits, assessments, care planning and reviews, alongside supporting stable placements, education, health and meaningful relationships with family and others important to each child. The Team Manager will provide supervision and guidance to social workers, oversee care planning and support timely decisions about children's long-term care, ensuring their views and needs remain central.

You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
