Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Social Worker/Team Manager to lead the Children’s Advice and Support Service (CASS) frontline team. You will oversee timely, robust, child-centred decision-making and work with police, health, education and voluntary partners to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
The role is hybrid and based in Birmingham. You should reside within commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.

The Children’s Advice and Support Service (CASS) is Birmingham Children’s Trust’s front door service. CASS plays a vital role in ensuring children and families receive the right help at the right time through timely, robust and child‑centred decision‑making. The service works at pace, managing high levels of demand and competing priorities, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, consistency and positive outcomes for children.
We are looking for a Team Manager who can lead with confidence, energy and enthusiasm. You will bring experience of partnership working, audit, quality assurance and performance oversight, and you will be able to use learning to strengthen practice, support improvement and promote excellent standards across the team.
You will work closely with other services across the Trust and with key partners, including police, health, education, early help and voluntary sector organisations. CASS has a strong reputation for delivering good services, effective partnership working, and timely, robust decision‑making that contributes to positive outcomes for children and their families.
