Birmingham Children’s Trust is looking for a senior social worker to join the Post Adoption Support Team in a hybrid role based in Birmingham. The role focuses on trauma-informed, therapeutic support for adopted children and young people, safeguarding and welfare promotion, and close collaboration with families and professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a Social Work degree with ASYE completed, SWE registration, and experience in adoption work, drawn from a youth/family social work setting.

Adopt Birmingham is the Regional Adoption Agency for Birmingham. We are seeking a full time senior social worker to join our Post Adoption Support Team, providing trauma informed, therapeutic social worker support to adopted children and young people.
As a Children’s Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support.
Our services will always be joined up and you will develop robust partnerships with other teams and outside agencies; to include the police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.
