Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting in Merseyside for a role leading a team of social workers focused on care-experienced children in long-term care and complex court work. You will provide reflective supervision, quality assure statements and care plans, and drive permanence planning including reunification and adoption.

The role supports flexible working and offers regular check-ins, with a statutory requirement for social work registration and relevant management experience.

Qualifications

• Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Experience supervising and leading a team of social workers.
• Experience managing complex court work and care proceedings.
• Ability to quality assure statements, care plans and permanence planning.
• Experience with reunification and adoption processes.
• Strong reflective supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of social workers supporting children in long-term care.
• Progress care proceedings following the first hearing.
• Provide reflective supervision and quality assurance of statements and care plans.
• Develop and monitor permanence planning including reunification and adoption.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Support staff wellbeing and flexible working arrangements.
