Team Manager 8328 | Permanent contract | £25.19 to £27.26 per hour (Scale L) | 37 or 18.5 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants, and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. The amount is to be repaid in full should they leave within two years of employment.

This is a job share role. Hours can be discussed with the successful candidate. The scheduled start is around November 2025, but there may be some flexibility on the start date.

To achieve this, Adult Social Services and Children's Services have developed the Preparing for Adult Life Service, Norfolk’s transition into Adult Social Care for young people.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Manager with considerable social work experience, including working with complex needs and risks related to mental health or disabilities. You will have a professional qualification in social work and demonstrate knowledge of strength-based assessment, care management procedures, and management/supervision skills.

You will have experience working with young people and their families, with an understanding of legislative requirements, especially supporting a team to meet Care Act 2014 responsibilities, as well as legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act. You should be committed to working in partnership with families and professionals involved in supporting young people in their transition to adult life.
