We are expanding our team and are seeking a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join the FormelD Operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer containment and rework activities are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, exceeding customer expectations.
- Support achievement of Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs).
- Supervise a team of permanent and temporary Quality Inspectors, Mechanics, Electricians, and adhoc support staff.
- Ensure all team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate and execute quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM production.
- Approve acceptable parts on-line to prevent production disruptions.
- Oversee onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Train the team on quality inspection and reworking activities, including the use of eQCC system.
- Conduct audits to ensure process adherence and quality standards compliance.
- Create Statements of Work for rework and inspection projects.
- Manage material flow and inspect/rework parts as needed.
- Utilize eQCC for data capture on all projects.
- Liaise with OEM, customers, and suppliers.
- Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
- Promote waste reduction and safety procedures, including accident reporting and prevention.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Follow HR processes for employee performance and discipline issues.
Requirements:
- Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role.
- Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, leading by example.
- Ability to motivate and engage team members.
- Customer management experience.
- Knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive attitude.
- Adherence to company SOPs, health and safety standards, and quality standards.
- Valid UK driving license and RTW in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship provided).
