We are expanding our team and are looking for a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join the FormelD Operations team.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting customer containment and rework activities to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency, exceeding customer expectations.
- Achieving and maintaining Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs).
- Supervising a team of permanent and temporary Quality Inspectors, Mechanics, Electricians, and adhoc team members.
- Ensuring all team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinating and executing quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM production.
- Passing acceptable parts online to avoid disruption to the customer's build.
- Onboarding and inducting new employees according to company standards.
- Training the team on quality inspection and rework activities, including the use of eQCC system.
- Conducting random checks and audits for process adherence and quality standards.
- Creating Statements of Work for rework and inspection projects.
- Ensuring smooth material flow and reworking as required.
- Using eQCC for data capture on all inspection and rework projects.
- Liaising with OEMs, customers, and suppliers.
- Supporting accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
- Promoting waste reduction and accident prevention.
- Following accident procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring HR processes related to employee performance and discipline are followed.
Requirements:
- Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience in a similar quality leadership role.
- Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, leading by example.
- Ability to motivate and engage the team.
- Customer management experience.
- Good knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive attitude.
- Adherence to company procedures, health and safety standards.
- Valid UK driving license and RTW in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship provided).
