Job description

We’re seeking an outstanding Team Manager to lead a dedicated secretariat team supporting the Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Local Resilience Forum (LRF). Be part of a mission to ensure community safety and resilience!

  • Full time, permanent (37 hours per week)
  • Grade 7: £42,708 - £46,731 (depending on experience)
  • On-Call allowance of £4,673pa

The Role

In this pivotal role, you’ll support the LRF Executive, Chair, and Vice-Chairs to deliver strategic goals, build partnerships, and oversee key operational responses to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of three, ensuring high performance and effective delivery.
  • Oversee LRF governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Develop and evaluate emergency protocols, raising awareness among partner agencies.
  • Manage projects and workstreams aligned with the LRF’s objectives.
  • Represent the LRF at key meetings and facilitate collaboration across diverse agencies.
  • Provide on-call support, assisting in incident response and coordination.

About you

  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to bring together a newly formed team ensuring its high performance.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships across the LRF.
  • Ability to assess data, performance and information and utilise this to lead the team and influence the LRF.
  • Excellent communication skills – We are looking for someone who can engage with people across all levels and organisations with the ability to present information clearly and effectively for decision making.
  • Experience and ability in providing debriefing and training to partners, implementing the learning gained from incidents.
  • A team worker who can also work independently to deliver workstreams to the required deadlines.
  • Possess integrity and honesty and be aligned to the Service’s Core Code of Ethics.
  • Take a flexible approach to work and have a valid and full driving licence – you will be expected to work across the County and also undertake some additional travel to regional and national meetings. Access to a pool vehicle will be available when required.
