Staffordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Neurodiversity Team within Adult Social Care. You will provide operational leadership, ensure safeguarding, and develop a skilled team of social workers and practitioners to support neurodiverse adults.

The role emphasises strengths-based practice, partnership working with health and voluntary sector, and continuous improvement to deliver person-centred outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

  • A recognised Social Work qualification & registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience within Adult Social Care.
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff.
  • Sound knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Adults procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of working with complex cases and managing risk.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and positive outcomes for adults and carers.

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners.
  • Promote strengths-based, person-centred practice. Provide reflective supervision, coaching and professional support.
  • Oversee safeguarding enquiries and complex casework.
  • Monitor performance, quality standards and statutory responsibilities.
  • Support effective partnership working with health colleagues, providers, carers and voluntary sector organisations.
  • Contribute to service development, workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure resources are used effectively while maintaining excellent outcomes for citizens.

As Team Manager in the Neurodiversity Team, you will play a key role in shaping high-quality services while supporting and developing a team of skilled practitioners. About the Role As Team Manager, you will provide operational leadership and management to a busy Adult Social Care team. You will ensure high standards of practice, effective safeguarding arrangements, and positive outcomes for the people we support. This is an exciting team that was created over a year ago that works with neurodiverse adults that require the support of adult social care. This team focusses on enabling people to live their lives as independently as they can as they live with neurodiversity alongside other people. This is small but dedicated team of social workers and Intensive Support Workers, working countywide,

    The minimum criteria that will be used to shortlist for this role will be:
