Job summary

Sovereign & Bale is seeking a Team Leader to guide Mentors and Activity Co-ordinators in a youth employment and employability setting. The role focuses on day-to-day performance, high-quality delivery, and helping participants move into sustained work.

You will coach staff, monitor outcomes, and maintain compliant case management while collaborating with Jobcentre Plus, employers and training providers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coaching teams in employability or target-driven environments.
• Ability to manage performance against targets and drive improvements.
• Strong relationship-building with employers, Jobcentre Plus and local partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support Mentors and Activity Co-ordinators to deliver high-quality employment support.
• Monitor team performance against contractual targets, including engagement and outcomes.
• Review caseload progression to ensure participant employment trajectories.
• Ensure action planning, regular contact with participants, employer engagement and in-work support.
• Use management information to identify risks and improve delivery.
• Conduct regular one-to-ones, staff reviews and coaching sessions.
• Provide constructive feedback and support colleagues to improve performance and quality.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Build effective relationships with Jobcentre Plus, employers and training providers.
• Support referrals and employment opportunities for young people.
• Ensure accurate case management and compliance with audit requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of local labour markets and youth employment opportunities.
