We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our warehouse operation runs safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, takes pride in getting things right and knows how to motivate a team.
You will be at the heart of the operation, your leadership will directly influence warehouse performance, customer satisfaction, safety and the successful delivery of our daily targets. Roleand Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock levelsand ensure stock records are consistently up to date.
- Oversee goods-in, picking,packing, dispatch and stock control activities.
- Ensure goods are correctlypacked, prepared and ready for dispatch.
- Monitor orders and deliveries,ensuring they are processed efficiently and on time.
- Undertake deliveries whererequired and ensure goods are handled and stored in accordance withCompany policies and procedures.
- Use the Warehouse ManagementSystem (WMS), databases and Microsoft Excel to accurately input, retrieveand manage operational information.
- Plan and manage the team’sdaily workload to ensure business, departmental and customer targets areachieved.
- Lead, support and motivatewarehouse team members, ensuring everyone understands theirresponsibilities and priorities.
- Monitor team performance on adaily basis and identify, address and elevate any concerns to the DepartmentManager.
- Delegate tasks effectively andensure work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards ofhousekeeping, organisation and warehouse discipline.
- Ensure full awareness of andcompliance with all QHSE policies, procedures and Company standards.
- Ensure all team members areappropriately supervised and follow all Health, Safety and Environmental(HSE) requirements.
- Report all accidents, hazardsand near misses in line with Company procedures and ensure appropriatefollow-up action is taken.
- Promote a strong safety-firstculture, ensuring Company HSE standards are consistently implemented andmaintained.
- Support and comply with allCorporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
- Build positive and professionalrelationships with colleagues, customers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with anychanges to Company policies, procedures, processes and working practices.
- Take ownership of additionalduties and responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.
