Durham County Council is seeking a Team Leader - Tenancy Sustainment in Seaham to lead a dedicated team in delivering tailored support to sustain tenancies and manage risk.
You will work closely with the Assistant Housing Manager and partner agencies to coordinate multi‑agency responses, oversee safeguarding, and drive continuous improvement through file audits and reflective practice. This role is temporary until Jan 2028.
Join our Housing Assets and Investment team as a Team Leader - Tenancy Sustainment and play a key role in helping residents maintain successful tenancies through effective support, risk management and partnership working.
This role is temporary until January 2028 to cover a period of maternity leave, or until the return of the substantive postholder from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.
As Team Leader - Tenancy Sustainment, you will lead and support a team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers, ensuring clients receive the right support to sustain their tenancies and achieve positive outcomes. You will work closely with the Assistant Housing Manager, internal services and partner agencies to support tenants with complex needs, manage risk and promote a coordinated multi-agency approach.
