We'd like you to join us as a Team Leader at our client's home in Shrewsbury.

Meet the client:

We are currently looking for carers to support our new client who has suffered an acquired brain injury. He requires 24-hour care, is non-verbal, and totally dependent on others for all his care needs. He has a very gentle nature and is easy to work with.

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support our new male client in his own home for days & night shifts, who has suffered an acquired brain injury. The support includes personal care, hygiene, PEG feeds, gastrostomy, nebuliser, oral suctioning. Full clinical training will be provided.

The ability to drive is required as the client lives in an area where public transport is not reliable.

  • Supporting the Care Manager and Head Office to manage the care package
  • Supporting the Care Co-ordinator with team rota management to ensure reliable, high-standard care
  • Mentoring the care team and acting as a role model for safe practice
Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Care Manager, you will:

  • Review and report changes to the Client Needs
  • Facilitate communication within the team
  • Monitor client care and wellbeing
  • Liaise with the client's family as needed
  • Monitor stock levels of supplies and medications
  • Participate in out-of-hours service/on-call as needed
  • Identify training needs for support workers
  • Assist with interviewing and recruitment
  • Support new team members' orientation
  • Manage rotas and update the Care Manager
  • Update the Care Manager on client condition and care package
  • Supervise staff as required
  • Lead team meetings and circulate minutes
  • Complete tasks and projects as assigned
When you'll be working:
  • We are looking for a regular team to work permanently with our client
  • 8am-4pm
  • 8am-8pm
  • 8pm-8am wake night
  • Monday to Sunday, full-time or part-time
What you'll have:
