Job Description:

This role involves establishing safety arrangements, checking work quality, and leading a team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities along the railway track network.

Internal Candidates Note: There may be a requirement to work on call if opting for the GTRM IMC25 contract.

About Off Track Inspection: You will manage a team responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing land alongside the track network, including vegetation management, drainage, and ancillary structures.

Role Responsibilities (External): Direct, organize, and motivate a high-performing team. Oversee inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal tasks, ensuring safety and high standards. Establish safety arrangements, ensure compliance of assets and equipment, and compile reports.

• Organize and control the safe and efficient delivery of work
• Communicate effectively in person and in writing
• Apply discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
• Follow relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
• Lead with clarity and inspiration
• Hold or work towards an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or possess equivalent experience
• Willing to drive vehicles as required

This role involves working days, nights, and weekends, and is safety-critical, requiring drug and alcohol testing and medical assessment clearance.
