Job summary

Pilgrim’s Europe is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to join us at Windmill Lane in Southall. You will lead the team to achieve key metrics, with emphasis on safety, quality and efficient processes, providing daily coaching and support to all team members.

The role requires managing 5 days out of 7 with a 06:00–14:00 shift pattern in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. You will drive visual management, handovers, waste reduction and OEE improvements while ensuring compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Lead the team to hit metrics with a strong focus on safety, quality and process efficiency.
• Coach and support team members to achieve daily targets and maintain high standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Use visual management to communicate performance issues and corrective actions.
• Deliver value by maintaining attainment to plan and escalating safety, quality or throughput deviations.
• Document start-ups and changeovers; plan and execute to minimise costs.
• Ensure shift handovers are documented and communicated clearly.
• Optimise labour, minimise waste and maximise OEE for the team.
• Prevent poor quality from progressing to the next stage.
• Complete safety, quality, operations and asset management documentation as required.

Job Purpose

To lead the team in achieving their required metrics for the area, with a key focus on team member safety, product quality and process optimisation, providing daily support and coaching to all team members."

• Use visual management to communicate to the team performance issues and what you are doing about correcting them.
• Deliver value; hourly, daily, and weekly maintaining attainment to plan and trigger the escalation process for any deviation in safety, quality or throughput.
• Ensure that start-ups and changeovers are documented, planned, and executed efficiently to minimise cost.
• Ensure that shift handovers documented and communicated effectively.
• Optimise labour, minimise waste and maximise OEE for the team
• Ensure that poor quality is not passed on to the next stage of the process.
• Complete all documentation for safety, quality, operations, environmental an asset management as required by our systems and by our customers.

Qualifications
