An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM UHB) for an experienced and motivated nurse to join our Safeguarding and Public Protection Service as a Band 7 Team Leader for Looked After Children.
This is a rewarding role for a passionate practitioner who is committed to improving outcomes for looked after children, care-experienced young people, and their families.
You will lead and support a dedicated multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred health assessments, care planning, and safeguarding services across the Health Board.
As the Team Leader for Looked After Children, you will provide clinical and professional leadership to the Looked After Children Health Team, ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive timely, effective, and compassionate healthcare.
Working closely with local authority, education, foster carers, residential settings, and other health professionals, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the health, wellbeing, and safety of children in care.
The successful candidate will lead service development, drive quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with Welsh Government and statutory requirements.
Whilst primarily based within the Looked After Children Team, the post holder will contribute to the wider Safeguarding and Public Protection Team, providing support across the broader safeguarding agenda as required.
