Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Full Time Team Leader for the Exning, Newmarket area. The role splits 50/50 between care and admin, with a 37.5 hour week (9am–5pm) across shifts and office hours. The ideal candidate will lead care packages, supervise staff, and ensure dignity and respect in all care interactions.

Applicants should have leadership experience and a current DBS check; NVQ2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 3) is preferred. Driving license desirable.

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care; Level 3 progression.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Driving license and vehicle access desirable.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for care packages, supervising staff through regular meetings.
• Schedule and allocate tasks, ensuring care plans are followed for each person.
• Support people with personal care, medications, and community activities.
• Participate in on-call rota and provide emergency care cover as needed.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Full Time Team Leader to join our team based in Exning, Newmarket.

Exning Court has 34 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible. The whole site is accessible by wheelchair.

This is a Full Time position, 50/50 Care and Admin, including a mixture of Shifts and Office Hours (9am - 5pm). 37.5 hours, per week, contract.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Team Leader in our Extra Care Scheme, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care by overseeing care packages and supporting both people we support and Radis Staff. This role requires strong leadership, flexibility, and a commitment to upholding dignity, choice, and respect in every aspect of care delivery.

You will:

• Be thefirst point of contactfor care packages, offering supervision, support, and guidance to Radis Staff through regular meetings and check-ins.
• Schedule and allocate care tasks, ensuring that care plans—including personal care and medication—are followed accurately in a in a manner that is specific to the People we support
• Support people directly with personal care, medication, and community-based activities when needed.
• Take part in theon-call rotaand provide emergency cover for care-related support as required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3, or happy to gain the qualification. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with the people we supports needs and expectations.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

A driving license with access to a vehicle will be desirable but not essential.
