Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant/Team Leader to join our team at Stanbridge House in Oxfordshire. The role involves leading care staff, coordinating shifts, and delivering personalised support to residents in their own homes and in the complex.

You will be the first point of contact for the package, supervise care workers, assist with medication and personal care tasks, and participate in the on-call rota to ensure cover during emergencies. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Leader experience preferred but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant/ Team Leader to join our team based in Stanbridge House in Oxfordshire OX16

Stanbridge is situated less than two miles from Banbury centre and provides 75 flats, with a number of facilities on site such as a hair salon, restaurant and bar. There are many different activities for residents to enjoy including bingo and film club.

About the role

As a Team Leader you will provide support to our extra care complex, providing specialised support to individuals. Radis recognise each person as an individual and provide a unique service which is tailored to their specific needs and provide a consistent approach throughout their life.

You will be the first point of contact for the package, providing supervisions / meetings and support to the Care Workers. The role will require you to schedule / allocate work to the Care Workers ensuring personal care and all care tasks are client specific. You will also support with medication, personal care tasks and offer support within the community.

You will also be required participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for care and Radis' housing related support duties when emergency cover is required.

Skills and Qualifications required for the role

Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care working towards Level 3. You will have good written and verbal commination skills and have a willingness to learn in line with clients needs and expectations.

This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
