Job summary

Asda is hiring a Team Leader (Express) to oversee daily operations across our Express format stores. You’ll lead a team of colleagues, ensure shelves are stocked, and deliver fast, friendly service in a busy retail environment.

Working 36 hours per week on day shifts, you’ll coach staff, monitor performance, and use data to meet targets. The role is permanent, with a 24/7 store network including Express locations.

• You are a natural leader with a hands-on approach in busy retail.
• Able to coach and motivate others across store formats.
• Comfortable using data to make decisions and improve service.

Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of your area, leading a team of colleagues to deliver excellent service and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll be responsible for managing your section efficiently whether that’s replenishment, checkouts, grocery, or fresh food, making sure shelves are stocked, standards are high, and customers are happy. You’ll support your team to meet targets, solve problems, and create a welcoming store environment.

About You

You’re a natural leader who thrives in a busy retail setting. You’ll be confident in coaching and motivating others, with a hands‑on approach and a passion for delivering great customer service. You’ll be flexible, adaptable, and ready to take on new challenges across different store formats—including our growing Asda Express locations. You’ll also be comfortable using data and insight to make decisions, and you’ll take pride in helping your team grow and succeed.
