Job Overview

Responsible for maintaining effective and high-quality domestic services within the community hospital ward and rehab unit, reflecting customer needs. Assist the estates and facilities manager with administrative duties.

Main duties of the job
  • Day-to-day management of facilities staff.
  • Work unsupervised, report/escalate concerns/issues to estates and facilities manager.
  • Be prepared to work as a domestic assistant at short notice to cover staff absences.
  • Ensure meal service is timely and meets patient needs.
  • Undertake cleaning audits regularly and complete paperwork.
  • Manage rostering, staff PDRs, team meetings, training, and interviews as required.
  • Maintain and order domestic supplies as needed.
