We are seeking a dedicated, resilient and proactive Team Leader to manage our Environment Officers team. This role is key in ensuring that the Isle of Wight remains a safe, clean and attractive place for both residents and visitors.

In this role, you will oversee the management of a small but very busy team of Environment Officers who enforce Public Space Protection Orders, issue fixed penalty notices, conduct area inspections, and enforce environmental regulations to ensure a safe and well-kept environment on the Isle of Wight.

In addition to inspections, you will enforce environmental regulations to address issues such as littering, fly-tipping, graffiti, and dog fouling. Your efforts will help reduce these nuisances and promote a cleaner, healthier environment. You will also work closely with other departments and stakeholders, including town and parish councils, to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

If you are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and public spaces and have the skills and experience to lead a team effectively, we would love to hear from you. Join us in our mission to protect and enhance the Public Realm on the Isle of Wight.

Join #TeamIWC and you'll receive our staff benefits package, including:

  • Annual leave entitlement of 32 days p/a PLUS public holidays!

  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounted island sports & leisure gym membership
