Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Residential Team Leader at Brynhyfryd in Builth Wells to lead a care team in a person-centred environment. The role oversees medication administration, care planning, and on-shift guidance to maintain high standards of care for older people, including those with dementia.

Applicants should have experience in residential care and be working towards or have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.

• Report changes in residents' needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation.

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Residential Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Brynhyfryd, situated in Builth Wells.

The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of person-centred care and supporting your team to uphold those standards in everything they do. This will include, but not limited to:

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care
• You will have completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent)
• You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised and great with people
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative
