Capability Scotland is seeking a Part Time Team Leader for Adult Services in Glasgow. You will line manage a team of Support Workers within our West of Scotland Housing Support & Care services, based in Glasgow, Renfrewshire & East Renfrewshire.
The role combines hands-on care on occasion (medication administration, personal care and moving and assisting) with leadership responsibilities, coaching and developing staff across a 20-hour week, with on-call duties.
Title: Part Time - Team Leader, Adult Services - £17,508.00pa / £16.79 ph
Hours: 20 hours per week plus on call

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced care/support practitioner, to line manage our team of Support Workers within our fabulous West of Scotland Housing Support & Care at Home services based in Glasgow, Renfrewshire & East Renfrewshire.
Our closeknit team of Team Leaders, help our care teams to support adults with a variety of complex disabilities, who receive 24 hour care, in their own homes and community, and they require a motivated and enthusiastic leader to join the team.
Maybe you are an experienced Team Leader, Senior Support Worker or Support Worker with transferable experience, looking to advance your career.
Are you who we are looking for?
You will be required to co-ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of social care practice using a person-centred approach that reflects individual customer's needs wants and aspirations. As a Team Leader you will occasionally work on the floor delivering direct care including medication administration, personal care and moving and assisting. Meaning it's not all about paperwork, you still get some hands on practice.
A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team, you will do this by displaying Leadership skills such as role modelling, decision making, being an effective communicator, having a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role.
20 hours per week will typically be worked across 3 days Monday to Friday though some flexibility is required to meet staff or carry out observations at evenings or weekends.
