Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Educator to lead clinical education across Women’s Services. Based across multiple sites, you will develop registered and unregistered staff, support educators and trainers, and ensure learning environments deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration as a Midwife with degree-level qualification.
• Recognised teaching and assessing qualification with evidence of CPD.
• Significant post-registration clinical leadership at Band 6 or equivalent.
• Strong specialist knowledge and evidence-based, compassionate practice.
• Experience designing, delivering and evaluating education in formal and workplace settings.
• Ability to identify learning needs and support staff to achieve clinical competencies.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication and team-working skills.
• Experience of clinical audit, quality improvement, service development or change management.
• Confidence in providing constructive feedback and supporting performance improvement.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and digital skills across sites and professions.

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Senior Clinical Educator to lead clinical education and practice development across Women’s Services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Based cross-city, you will develop registered, unregistered and medical colleagues; support educators, mentors, assessors and trainers; and help ensure learning environments deliver safe, evidence-based and compassionate care.

We will combine visible clinical leadership with excellent teaching, coaching and quality‑improvement skills. Working with matrons, clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will shape education programmes, strengthen competency and preceptorship pathways, use audit and feedback to improve practice, and support staff to reach their full potential.

What You Will Bring To The Role
