Job summary

National Care Group Limited is recruiting a Team Leader for Affinity Supporting People South Limited in Accrington. You will support young adults with complex needs, plan daily activities, assist personal care, and help with medication as needed. A full UK driver’s licence is essential, and NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is expected.

You will work to deliver person-centred care, build strong relationships, and contribute to empowering individuals to live more independently.

Qualifications

• You will need good communication and leadership to manage young adults with complex needs.
• You must have a UK driver's licence to meet role requirements.
• NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required or equivalent.
• Understanding of person-centred care and non-discriminatory practice.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals together.
• Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities (cooking, cleaning, errands).
• Assist with personal care and may include medication administration.
• Plan and participate in days out and activities chosen by the individual.
• Maintain clear records and follow statutory reporting procedures.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader, who has previously managed multiped sites, to join our team at Affinity Supporting People South Limited – Accrington.

Affinity Supporting People South Limited is part of National Care Group. We provide supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health, and challenging behaviours. Our dedicated team works closely with those we support to deliver person-centred care, empowering each individual to reach their goals and fulfil their aspirations.

The role of a National Care Group Team Leader

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes-challenging role but one with huge rewards.

• You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing and then planning goals and ambitions together.
• You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
• You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
• You will make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
• What qualities do you need to be a great Team Leader?
• UK Driver’s License.
• NVQ or QCF Level 3 in a Health and Social Care
• Demonstrable understanding of the principles of high-quality person-centred care and support and non-discriminatory care practice.
• Good understanding of the regulatory responsibilities held by the Registered Manager and the law relating to care services.
• Understanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to customers, staff, and the business.
• Good communication skills. Effective working relationships with colleagues.
• Experience of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other health and social care professionals representing the organisational values.
• Ability to maintain clear written and electronic records and to follow statutory reporting procedures, ensuring all colleagues are following correct procedures.
