We have a part-time Team Leader role in our Bristol Shack, creating an amazing customer experience for all our Loaf visitors.
The job
  1. Undertake compulsory training and refreshers as required.
  2. Work with fellow Loafers and other teams around Loaf as one team, bringing positive energy to work.
  3. Train Shack Assistants in all areas of their role.
  4. Support the Shack Manager with recruitment and onboarding.
  5. Offer day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to the team, including holding 1:1s.
  6. Understand and adhere to the Loaf SHACKS sales policies and deliver a warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer experience.
  7. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge by attending regular training sessions and reviewing the Loaf website.
  8. Provide customers with honest, knowledgeable advice to help them make informed decisions.
  9. Listen to customer feedback, suggest improvements, and escalate issues to the Shack Manager when necessary.
  10. Be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience in collaboration with the Shack team.
  11. Monitor daily and weekly sales targets and suggest ways to improve sales performance.
  12. Review sales reports and trade feedback, comparing product sales week over week, year over year, and across Shacks.
  13. Understand customer order processes, ensure orders are correctly placed, and details are accurate.
  14. Stay informed about best-selling products.
  15. Gather feedback from team members and suggest improvements for Shack layout and product placement to optimize performance.
  16. Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines and maintain attractive displays.
  17. Manage processing and sorting of deliveries and stock takes.
  18. Proactively check and adjust room sets as needed.
  19. Comply with all H&S requirements and standards.
  20. Deputise for the Shack Manager when necessary.
  21. Act as a keyholder, including training in First Aid and Fire Marshalling.
  22. Conduct regular floor walks and team check-ins.
  23. Represent the Shack at offsite events, such as product launches and training sessions.
  24. Provide cover for other Shacks as needed.

  • Excellent motivation and people management skills.
  • Conscientiousness and diligence, with a focus on both details and the bigger picture.
  • Organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Passion for the Loaf brand and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to support management in communicating and realizing shared vision.
  • Flexibility to work during our Monday to Sunday opening hours.
