Designate Senior Sous Chef | Birmingham West | Full Time

The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you'll be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You'll support coaching and developing your team to excel while driving restaurant performance and delivering exceptional results.

What you will do:

• Foster a positive environment where your team feels cared for and supported, celebrating successes and nurturing talent.
• Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and safety, and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
• Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understand financial aspects like gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
• Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development.
• Be a proactive problem solver, making quick decisions when needed.

What we look for:

• Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to have meaningful conversations and support your team.
• Experience in maintaining high standards of food safety and health standards.
• Understanding of kitchen financials, including GP and stock control.
• Ability to manage labor costs effectively.
• Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate your team.
