Job summary

Goodwins Hall Care Home in King's Lynn is seeking a Team Leader to guide the care team in delivering high-quality resident care. You will oversee daily care delivery, support staff development and ensure high standards of service within the home.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, strong leadership and communication skills, and a flexible shift pattern across Monday to Sunday. Athena Care Homes emphasises ongoing learning and progression, including funded apprenticeships

As a Team Leader at Goodwins Hall Care Home, you will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting our care team who are passionate about delivering making moments for our residents and delivering high quality care.

Nestled in a quiet area at the bottom of Goodwins Road, our 76-bedroom care home is known for its beautiful fountain centrepiece at the entrance.

About The Role

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key part with care delivery in the home. Our Team Leader supports us to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved in all areas of the home.

Development from this role can take you onto CHAPS or nursing positions, and we offer fully funded apprenticeships to help you achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. However, if the traditional qualifications aren't for you, or you have a specific interest, we have a variety of other options to support your career journey.

Salary

£15.25 per hour (inclusive of a 12.1% holiday pay uplift).

Shift Pattern

Flexible shift pattern across Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• To be central to our care. Providing leadership and direction to the care team whilst on duty.
• Assist, motivate and inspire passion into our care team to deliver exceptional outcomes in care.
• Manage supervision, appraisal and performance management of our care team. Celebrating every individual and helping our team to achieve their potential.
• To carry out enhanced clinical care duties; clinical observations of blood pressure, pule, respiration rate, temperature and blood oxygenation level and monitor urine output.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

• A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
• Experience in a similar senior care position.
• You must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.
