Job summary

The Cambian Group is recruiting Senior Team Leaders to join our new opening residential care service in Warrington. You will lead a supportive on-site team of Residential Care Workers, ensuring high standards of care for children aged 8–18 with behavioural and emotional needs.

A full UK driving licence is required. You will support training, maintain accurate records, assist with care plans, organise activities, and travel with young people to school or college while pursuing a Level 3 Diploma

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Desire to earn Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• 12 months' experience in a Residential setting is desirable but applications from those starting their journey are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to provide care for young people with complex needs.
• Ensure training and development for staff and maintain care plans.
• Maintain accurate records/logs for monitoring and evaluation.

• Ensuring that our incredible team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development
• Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation
• Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place
• Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
• Providing support and care to the young people within our services
• Encouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or to engage in their current schooling
• Traveling with our young people to and from School or College
• Preparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) throughout the day to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our care
• Organising and facilitating social activities

The young people we support are very well adjusted to school and are achieving great marks and participating in a number of activities.

The young people in our care range between the ages of 8-18 years of age and have a range of behavioural and emotional needs. Must hold a full UK driving licence. Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce 12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable but we do also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey.
