Job summary

Costa Coffee by Sim Trava is seeking a part-time Team Leader in Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will lead daily operations, manage shifts, and support staff to deliver great coffee and customer service.

You’ll train new baristas, help rollout campaigns, and maintain high standards across drinks quality and store presentation. The role offers a friendly team, growth opportunities, and a supportive franchise environment.

Qualifications

A bit about the role

As a Team Leader, you’ll have experience of leading a team. You’ll get involved with day-to-day operations, stock ordering, merchandising, health & safety, and most importantly engaging the stores team to exceed our customers expectations.

• Taking the lead on shifts to support the team.
• Deploying team members, making the most of people’s talents to ensure that they’re in the right place at the right time.
• Training and developing new Baristas and existing team members.
• Supporting with the roll out of new campaigns and products, ensuring that the team can hit the ground running.
• Driving high standards every shift, whether that’s through the quality of our handmade drinks, or a store walk through to see how you can make our customers visit even better.

Sim Trava was formed in 2005 by Simon and Tracy Vardy from the basement of their Altrincham home, and their first store opened that same year on October 17th in Northwich, Cheshire. The original plan was to open 5 stores in 5 years, however that milestone was achieved much sooner and by 2010 we had 10 Costa Coffee stores in and around the Cheshire/Manchester area.

Fast forward to 2021 when we celebrated our 40th new store opening in Fallowfield, Manchester. Following this Sim Trava was honoured to be selected to be the first franchise to purchase existing stores from equity. We acquired 17 stores, located across the Preston, Blackpool, and Southport region. In 2025 Sim Trava expanded again with the purchase of 21 existing stores from a franchise partner bringing our store count to 80, and we have no plans to slow down.
