Job summary

Asda in Chadwell Heath is seeking a Team Leader to manage day-to-day running of the department, lead by example, and ensure excellent customer service on the shop floor.

You will support stock management, help develop colleagues, and work with store management to maintain high standards during afternoon shifts. This is a permanent full-time role with a 36-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Willingness to take on responsibility and support others.
• Good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the department and support shop floor operations.
• Model excellent customer service and resolve issues to keep customers satisfied.

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in leading the day-to-day running of your department. You’ll lead by example—supporting your colleagues, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure our customers receive the best possible service. Whether it’s helping to manage stock, supporting new starters, or stepping in to solve a problem, you’ll be a go-to person on the shop floor. You’ll work closely with your manager to deliver high standards and keep your team motivated and focused.
