Job summary

Barnett Waddingham is recruiting a Team Leader to join our Liverpool-based pension administration team. This permanent, full-time hybrid role offers clear routes for progression within the Howden employee benefits business.

You will take overall responsibility for the team’s workload, monitor performance against SLAs, conduct PDRs, interview candidates, provide feedback, and support remote-working arrangements while upholding quality standards and internal controls.

Qualifications

• GCSE/A levels are required.
• A relevant degree or progress with PMI examinations is desirable together with experience appropriate for the role in pension administration.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Takes overall responsibility for the team’s workload and service to members.
• Monitors the team’s performance against Service Level Agreements and client deadlines.
• Conducts regular one-to-one discussions and Personal Development Reviews (PDRs).
• Motivates and facilitates effective team working, including remote workers.
• Inputs into recruitment and conducts interviews.
• Ensures quality standards by adhering to policies and procedures and internal controls.
• Uses available MI with the Operations Manager to ensure team effectiveness and coaching needs.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Team Leader to join our growing team. This is a permanent, full time role that is based in our Liverpool office, working on a hybrid basis.

A snapshot of your day:

• Takes overall responsibilityfortheteam’sworkload andservice tomembers


• Monitorsthe team’s performance against Service Level Agreementsand client deadlines


• Conducts regular one-to-one discussions for all team members and undertakes formal Personal Development Reviews (PDRs)


• Motivatesand facilitateseffective team working, recognising that team members may be working remotely


• Has an input into the recruitment process and conducts interviews


• Is responsible for ensuring team members meet quality standards by adhering to policies and proceduresand tasks are carried out in accordance with our AAF internal controls


• Using the MI available, workswith theOperations Managerto ensure that team members are performing effectively, identifying development needsandproviding coaching and training where necessary


• Providesconstructive feedback for others in order to improve their understanding and knowledge and support the development of the individual

We would love to hear from if you have:

• Previous Team Leadership/People Management experience (essential)
