Position: Team Leader

Location: Gloucester - GL3 4AQ

Shift patterns: Friday-Sunday, Night shift (22:00-10:00), 12-hour shifts

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Are you ready to elevate your leadership skills in the aerospace industry? Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in aircraft landing gear and systems, is seeking a dynamic Team Leader to join our innovative team!

What does the role entail?

As part of your duties, while maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

1. Lead daily performance, including achievement of customer KPIs and internal KPIs (e.g., safety, operational, employee-related).
2. Participate in and conduct Gemba Walks to identify areas for improvement.
3. Assist management by monitoring warehousing activities and performance in your area.
4. Supervise, coordinate, and communicate job expectations to direct reports, ensuring deadlines are met safely and standards of excellence are maintained.
5. Track and trace orders using digital in-house tracking software, maintaining accurate records.
6. Participate in customer, regulatory, and internal audits, and implement agreed action plans.
7. Report and investigate workplace incidents, escalate safety non-compliance issues.
8. Conduct regular operation reviews and team briefings via Performance Dialogue boards.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

1. Previous experience as a Team Leader or similar role in an operational environment.
2. Counter Balance forklift license is essential.
3. Project management experience is desirable.
4. Knowledge of supply chain practices.
5. Experience in preparing and distributing volume orders.
6. Proficiency with logistics software packages.
7. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organize, and train staff.
