Job summary

Voyage Care in Dover is seeking a proactive Team Leader to drive quality life improvements for the people we support. You will lead a dynamic team in a welcoming supported living service, ensuring high standards of care and smooth daily operations.

The role involves supervising staff, coordinating shifts, and helping residents gain independence, with a focus on person-centred support and safeguarding DBS checks and references as part of our recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Team Leader role in a supported living service.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury or complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Allocate shifts and supervise day-to-day operations.
• Book and coordinate training for staff and induct new colleagues.
• Conduct supervision and appraisals, develop and update care plans.
• Order medication and support people to manage finances.
• Support the manager in absence with day-to-day service management.

Team Leaders with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Team Leader to join us in leading our supported living service in Dover. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Team Leader with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, conducting supervision’s and appraisals, developing and updating care plans, ordering medication, ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances and day-to-day management of the service in the absence of the manager. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Team Leaders are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Team Leader having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Team Leader should have previous experience in a similar role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
