Team Leader - EBD Children's Home

Location: Ashbourne

Employment Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (8am - 10pm)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader for our new 7-bed Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) children's home in Ashbourne. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of care staff, ensuring effective delivery of care and support.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of each child.
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and behavioral development of residents.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Liaise with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Relevant qualification in childcare or social work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting.
- Strong understanding of EBD and therapeutic approaches to care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage challenging situations.
