CareTech Community Services Ltd seeks a Team Leader to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs at the Edgerton Grove service in Bradford. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

You will lead and motivate a care team, deliver person-centred support, uphold high standards of documentation, and promote independence and wellbeing for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Supported Living or Residential Care Environment (2+ years).
• Senior or Team Leader experience in care (1+ year).
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by employer).

Responsabilités

• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.

About the Service - Edgerton Grove

Edgerton Grove is a registered residential care service supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person-centred support.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

• At least 2 years Experience in a Supported Living or Residential Care Environment
• At least a year in a Senior or Team leader position within care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
