Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Care Team Leader at Selborne Mews in Birmingham to support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role involves delivering person-centred care, helping with daily living skills, and promoting independent living within a residential setting.

You will work on a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins, with opportunities for progression and funded DBS and training. This is a full-time position in a care home environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 NVQ
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

About the Service – Selborne Mews

Selborne Mews is a residential home that cares for individuals with learning difficulties, disabled and mental health challenges.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Care team leaders play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:
