Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Team Leader to support the Facility Manager in supervising staff, equipment and processes on a Poultry Facility in the Lincoln area. The role focuses on first-class poultry stockmanship, strong animal welfare and biosecurity practices, and driving KPI performance.

Additionally, you will assist with SIB testing at Larkfield farm, with full training provided for trial-bird responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise people, equipment and processes to support the Facility Manager and drive team performance.
• Maintain high levels of animal husbandry, welfare and biosecurity while ensuring safety and PPE use.
• Assist with implementation and management of SIB testing at Larkfield farm, including training for trial birds.

Main responsibilities

• The role of the team leader is to support the Facility manager through effective supervision of people, equipment and processes on a Facility whilst carrying out first class Poultry Stockmanship. The Team Leader position drives positive behaviours and procedures through the Team Members.

• A team Leader needs to demonstrate a high standard of animal husbandry including knowledge of animal welfare and biosecurity. The Team Lead drives performance and standards within their team. This will include: hitting farm KPIs, maintaining Biosecurity and welfare standards, ensuring safety standards remain high whilst ensuring PPE is available and used, ensuring all aspects of flock management run smoothly and feed changes etc happen on time.

• Support and assist in the implementation and management of SIB testing at Larkfield farm. Full training in the additional responsibilities relating to SIB testing be given – this includes the selection process of trial birds.
