Pilgrim's is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at one of our breeder laying farms in Grantham, UK. You will lead a team of 7, drive flock performance, and ensure high welfare, biosecurity, and production standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage operations, records, and continuous improvement across the site.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily farm operations to achieve optimal flock performance.
• Monitor bird health, welfare, and environmental conditions.
• Ensure strict biosecurity, health, safety and welfare standards.
• Maintain compliance with Red Tractor and industry schemes.
• Lead, coach and motivate a team of 7 employees.
• Maintain accurate records for performance monitoring and audits.
• Collaborate with Area Manager, veterinary teams and support functions.
• Oversee equipment, ventilation systems and farm infrastructure.
• Drive continuous improvement across the site.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our breeder laying farms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with poultry experience and strong leadership skills to play a key role in delivering excellent bird welfare, production performance, biosecurity standards, and team development. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead a team of 7 people and take ownership of flock performance, farm operations, and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily farm operations to achieve optimal flock performance, including hatching egg production and hatchability targets.
• Monitor bird health, behaviour, welfare, and environmental conditions, taking proactive action where required.
• Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, health & safety, and welfare standards.
• Maintain Red Tractor and industry assurance scheme requirements.
• Lead, coach, train, and motivate a team of 7 employees.
• Maintain accurate records to support performance monitoring, stock control, and audit readiness.
• Work closely with the Area Manager, veterinary teams, and support functions.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, ventilation systems, and farm infrastructure.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance farm performance and productivity.

Requirements

• Previous poultry experience, ideally within a breeder or laying environment
• Farm management or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• NVQ Level 3 in Poultry Management (or willingness to complete)
• Commitment to continuous professional development
